У статті розглядаються актуальні завдання в дослідженні академічної доброчесності – боротьба з плагіатом; формування етичних норм академічної спільноти; виховання інформаційної грамотності; підвищення мотивації навчання. Описано комплекс заходів щодо академічної доброчесності, впроваджених в роботу НБ НУК, з метою підвищення інформаційної компетентності студентів, молодих науковців та професорсько-викладацького складу університету.
This paper deals with the activity vectors of the Scientific Library of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding in forming stable academic culture and ethics while emphasizing creativity and independence. Actual tasks in research of academic respectability are examined in the article: a fight against plagiarism; forming of academic community ethic norms; education of information literacy; increase of motivation of studies. Practice of forming a culture of academic respectability and skills of its compliance in the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding is examined. Namely: increase of information culture; skills of work with information resources; support of initiatives of Open Access through creation of institutional repozitory and open digital magazine “Announcer NUK”; holding through of seminars-trainings of “Resources of the Open Access”. The introduction and use of the system “Unicheck” for checking for plagiarism in university process is described. Summarizing it is possible to declare that the university supports ethics of academic respectability, producing a positive image. The article accentuates the relevance of the results of the conducted research, which will be helpful for defining the most effective forms of work and may serve as a base for further library activities to implement the ethics of academic integrity and to improve the information competency of all participants of the educational process in the university. The main malpractice driving factors were defined, and the countermeasures were suggested. As emphasized, the key to success resides in the cultivation of the academic culture in the institutions of higher education, based on publicity, integrity and conscious responsibility, which would facilitate the integration of the academic institutions into the European and global science and education.
